SNAPS is a small startup comprised of a tiny group of diverse and passionate people who all feel the same way about what’s going on- and what’s been going on. Frankly, we’ve been struggling with our words and figuring out how we can make a difference.

Ultimately, we realize, this is not about us. This is about the black community and all communities persistently subjected to, and harmed by, systemic racism and institutionalized hate.

We have a platform, albeit a small one. Our product is a way to make statements, to voice what it is you want to share with others without having to say a word, enabling you to express your style, your beliefs or your mood and to connect with members of your community. We want to use this forum for good.

 We believe:

  • Black Lives Matter
  • Silence is complicity
  • Systemic racism is a brutal, entrenched societal structure we must help dismantle
  • We may not all really understand, but we commit to learning because we all must stand

 We pledge:

  • To listen
  • To learn
  • To do better
  • To not profit from any social justice initiatives
  • All Initiative proceeds will go to not-for-profit organizations servicing communities in need
  • To do what we can to support a safer, healthier, freer world

Limited access to good mental health resources is a public health crisis in the United States, particularly in marginalized communities- people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+ community, First Nation peoples, the poor and the disenfranchised. Aftercare for victims of police brutality is so incredibly scarce; we want to shine a light on the horrific toll this takes on the families and loved ones of the murdered. The effects are devastating. The entire community hurts when one of us is hurt.

Considering this, SNAPS is creating the >Greater Than Initiative>. Through this, we will speak up and speak out. We will make products from which we never profit and will donate all the proceeds to groups that promote good mental and emotional health across communities in need. We will do our best to help people create safe spaces to be seen, to be heard, to be well.

This is not the time to be silent. No more sitting by and watching the suffering. SNAPS will use our privilege to stand up, to speak out, to be part of the solution instead of remaining part of the problem. To unite against hate and ignorance. To raise awareness of mental health issues and do our part to help our communities heal. We will all do this together because together we are greater than any system.

Together we are >
